Dentists and Hygienists advise that there are three things you need to do on a daily basis to take care of your teeth.
1. Clean between the teeth daily with Floss or Tooth Pick.
2. Brush the teeth and gums thoroughly twice a day (Morning after breakfast and last thing before bed)
3. Try to keep sugary snacks to a minimum.
At DENTiSt @ MiLTON all of our staff understands that a visit to the dentist can be a nerve racking experience for some. We are all there to help you in any way we can to make the experience as relaxing as possible for you. We have many patients who like to listen to music or wear ear plugs to help them relax. For those with a severe phobia there are medications which the dentist can prescribe to aid you to relax if necessary, this should be organised before your appointment.
In the event of a toothache call the surgery for specific advice. There are many reasons why a toothache may occur e.g. decay, broken tooth, infection or abscess. It may not be possible to diagnose the cause of pain over the phone, if so, we will arrange an appointment with the dentist, preferably on that day.
We have provided a brief explanation of treatment on this website under the our services page which may answer some of your questions. Alternately, feel free to ask any of our staff, we are all more than willing to explain in easy to understand language what treatment is needed and what your options are.
